Together We Give Awards $100,000 to Boise Area Non-Profits

December 16, 2020 by Jarrod Galm

Tuesday, December 15, 2020, turned out to be Christmas Day for a number of Boise area non-profits. Members of The Mike Brown Group and the Together We Give Foundation visited five non-profits who were nominated to receive grants from the foundation.

Voting by Mike Brown Group clients, agents, staff, and corporate contributors determined what charities received from the $100,000 grant pool. Funds were raised through a variety of means: a donation was made for every transaction represented by a Mike Brown Group REALTOR®; Movement Mortgage and Todd Shreeve contributed for every Mike Brown Group transaction they were a part of; Biltmore Co. and Todd Campbell Custom Homes also donated funds to the cause.

Voting Results and Awards

The Boise Bicycle Project was granted $5,000, which was accepted by Emily Symmerhays, the project’s Director of Operations.

The CEO of the Idaho Youth Ranch, Scott Curtis, accepted a $5,000 grant to benefit his organization.

Tammy Johnson, the Executive Director of Life’s Kitchen, received a check for $20,000.

Amy Curry, the Executive Director of Boise Angels, accepted a grant of $20,000.

Mindy Plumlee, the Executive Director of the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Idaho accepted a grant award of $50,000.
